Hello! I am Ana Marco Pérez and I am a Spanish pianist and piano teacher living in The Netherlands.
From a very young age I was captivated by the piano and I knew that music would occupy a central place in my life. And so it did! That is why believe that the way music is transmitted and taught from the very beginning is the driving factor that makes people love music throughout their lives. Therefore, this is one of my main principles when teaching piano.
But the decision to create this blog did not happen overnight. I am currently finishing my Master's degree in Classical Piano at ArtEZ University of the Arts, for which I have to do some research work. And as the piano and teaching lover that I am, I have decided to do as much research as possible so that piano education can grow at the highest level.
And why a Blog? I think it is the best format to share content like reflections, articles, research texts, materials, etc. but it is also a great way to create a community in which people feel invited to also share their own thoughts and experiences. I would love to open friendly discussions where we can share ideas to make piano education better every day. All these ideas and insights are essential for the development of piano education. As piano teachers, we must be aware of the world around us and the thoughts and needs of piano lovers and the future ones. So any small contribution is essential in this process!
In the following posts, I will share each small step in my research. Thank you for your time!
