Benefit concerts for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, in Odeon (Zwolle)

The consequences of the earthquake which has affected Turkey and Syria are being terrible. Maybe it doesn't affect direcly to all of us, but we do have the option to help.

Utku Geçgel and Yağmur Şimşek, two of my colleagues in ArtEZ Conservatorium Zwolle had a beautiful initiative to do our bit to help the victims of this disaster. They are organizing benefit concerts whose profits will go entirely to aid organisations such as GIRO555 and the Turkish non-governmental organisation Ahbap (ahbap.org).

These concerts are taking place in Schouwburg Odeon and Academiehuis Zwolle (The Netherlands), and I feel very proud to participate. I will be performing the Suite for trio by the Armenian composer Alexander Arutiunian together with Eider Armendariz (violin) and Mirjam Kwebeman (saxophone).

Everyone is invited to come to the concerts where a lot of musicians from Zwolle and the surroundings are participating, but there is also the possibility to help with a donation. In the images below, you can see the schedule of the concerts. I will perform on Friday 17 at 15:00, but a lot more beautiful performances are taking place. Feel free to come, listen, support and donate.

You can donate very easily scanning the QR codes in the image below.

Thank you.
